It has come to light, that the sister of multi-platinum R&B singer, Akon, is the brain behind his stupendous $80-million (about R1 173 704 000) brand.

The celebrity musician whose full name is Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam has been known worldwide for his fame.

Blackbusiness.com reports that Akon’s sister, Khady Thiam Gueye, has been the driving force behind the success of Akon and that of other members of their family.

It was in the midst of all these that she pursued her master’s degree in entrepreneurship and founded her own consulting firm called True Media Independence (TMI Worldwide).
