British-Nigerian rapper, David Omoregie, popularly known as Dave, and Nigerian Grammy-winning singer, Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, have been named in Spotify’s 2026 Songs of Summer predictions.

The global editorial team of the music streaming platform selected their hit collaboration, Raindance (feat. Tems), as a potential major summer hit based on worldwide streaming data and trends.

Released in October 2025, Raindance is the fifth track on Dave’s third studio album, titled The Boy Who Played the Harp. The song, which was co-produced by Jo Caleb, Kyle Evans, Jim Legxacy, and the performing artists themselves, beautifully blends Tems’ soulful vocals with Dave’s introspective rap style.

The track previously peaked at number one on the United Kingdom (UK) Singles Chart, marking a major milestone as Tems’ first chart-topping song in the UK. Since its release, the hit single has surpassed 500 million streams worldwide.

According to Spotify, the 2026 predictions span multiple genres, including pop, rap, electronic music, and Afrobeats.
