For frontline Visual and Creative Artist, and the Creative Head of Ore Apparel, Sobayo Abolore, it is time for a double celebration. He recently announced that from April 3 to May 3, 2021, the third solo exhibition of Sobayo Abolore tagged; JELESINMI Serie 1 (Ilé Láti Ko Ẹ̀ṣọ́ Rode} which literarily means ‘charity begins from home’ will take place.

Similarly, Jelosimi Art Center, JAC, his creative center will be officially opened to the public.

According to an excited Abolore, it has become imperative to throw more light on the importance of being literate in our mother tongue, while preaching the need to preserve and pass it on by educating coming generations while he expressed his joy about the project.

“The JELESINMI exhibition seeks to throw more light on the importance of being literate in our mother tongue while preaching the need to preserve and pass it on by educating coming generations. The Exhibition will run from April 3 to May 3, 2021.

“The launch and exhibition will be happening at The Jelosimi Art center in Oshodi, on the 3rd of April, 2021. We have not had an official launch of the Center, BUT, we have been successfully impacting lives. We simply could not wait” he said in a statement sent to TCN.

He added that he feels honored to be sharing this project with his community and beyond, as the impact of Art in building our society cannot be over-emphasized.
