Filmmaker and actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele d’Icon, is celebrating a new record as his movie series Koleoso has reached 141.6 million combined views on YouTube across 13 parts.

In a statement on Tuesday, Yekini announced that Koleoso has become the most-viewed African movie title on YouTube.

“Koleoso makes history as the most-viewed African movie title on YouTube, with over 140 million combined views across Parts 1-13 – and still counting,” he said.

According to figures released by the filmmaker, the series has recorded:

Part 1 – 9.8M, Part 2 – 9.9M, Part 3 – 8.9M, Part 4 – 10M, Part 5 – 10M, Part 6 – 12M, Part 7 – 12M, Part 8 – 12M, Part 9 – 13M, Part 10 – 16M, Part 11 – 9.9M, Part 12 – 9.4M, Part 13 – 8.7M.

Yekini dedicated the milestone to his fans, cast, and crew.

“Let me take my flowers. This is a win for Nollywood and a source of pride for Africa. A massive shout-out to the entire KOLEOSO FAMILY – my amazing fans who kept watching, sharing and supporting this journey.

“And to every member of the cast and crew who gave their talent, time and energy… this historic achievement belongs to all of us. IT’S OUR WIN! We dreamed it. We created it. You watched it. Together, we made history”, he added.

Recall that Koleoso crossed 100 million cumulative views earlier in 2026, making it the first Nollywood and African movie title to hit that mark across multiple parts on a single channel.

The film, which blends Yoruba cultural elements with supernatural themes and intense family drama, has drawn viewers from Nigeria and across the diaspora since its debut on the IteleDIconStudio YouTube channel. NigeriaNews Subscription

With the series now exceeding 141 million views and still climbing, the actor described the achievement as a collective victory for Nollywood and the continent.
