Expectations high as GFA gallery opens

All is set for the formal opening of the Gallery of The Guild of Professional Fine Artists of Nigeria on Sunday 17th of November 2019.

The gallery which is expected to house artworks of members of the guild will be officially opened to members of the public thereafter.

According to the Director; The Guild of Professional Fine Artists of Nigeria Ugonna Ibe-Ejiogu while announcing the invitation to the formal opening of the gallery urged artists, curators and art collectors to come and view works, connect with the guild artists, fellow collectors and art professionals at the gallery.

The trustees of the gallery are the Founder of Foundation for Contemporary and Modern Visual Art, Mr. Yinka Fisher, Mrs. Ifeoma Idigbe a business advisor/analyst with over 30 years’ experience in banking & finance, human resource management, general administration and renowned boardroom guru, Mr. Ede Dafinone.

Members of the gallery include renowned painter, visual artists amongst others. Sam Ebohon who in 2009 was awarded the Gold Medal Prize at the Caterina de Medici painting competition in Florence, Italy leads the roll call. Duke Asidere, Bunmi Babatunde, Ben Osaghe (Late), Alex Nwokolo, Abraham Uyovbisere, Abiodun Olaku, Segun Adejumo, Tola Wewe, Zinno Orara, Gbenga Offo, Hamid Ibrahim, Kehinde Sanwo, Lekan Onabanjo, Ndidi Dike, Nsikak Essien, Sam Ovraiti, Fidelis Odogwu, Gab Awusa, Edosa Ogiugo, Olu Ajayi, Rueben Ugbine, Ebenezer Akinola, Emenike Ogwo, Adebanji Alade, Ben Ibebe, Bimbo Adenugba, Ade Ogundimu, George Edozie, Francis Uduh, Gerry Nnubia, Joshua Nmesirionye, Juliet Ezenwa, Kehinde Adewuyi, Mofu Apooyin, Norbert Okpu, Osagie Aimufia, Diseye Tantua, Tayo Olayode, Toni Okujeni, Toni Oshiame, Felix Osiemi are all members of the gallery.
