Singer Fireboy Announces Release Date For Fourth Album

by The Culture Newspaper August 20, 2024
by The Culture Newspaper August 20, 2024

Nigerian music sensation Fireboy is poised to unveil his eagerly awaited new album.

Since his emergence in the Nigerian music scene in 2019 with his debut album, Fireboy has achieved remarkable commercial success, establishing himself as one of the prominent figures of his generation.

On August 19, 2024, Fireboy took to his social media platforms to announce the release of his fourth album, titled ‘Adedamola’, scheduled for August 29.

The title ‘Adedamola’, which is derived from Fireboy’s first name, indicates a shift from the hedonistic themes that characterized his previous album towards more introspective and emotional subject matter.

From the pre-save tracklist available on various streaming services, the album will feature lead singles ‘Yawa’ and ‘Obaa Sima’, both released in 2023, along with his latest single ‘Everyday’.

Expectations are running high for Fireboy’s upcoming album, as fans anticipate a deeper exploration of the artist’s personal experiences, reminiscent of the poignant lyrics and enchanting melodies that defined his debut album, ‘Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps’.

While the complete tracklist for the new album has yet to be revealed, fans are hopeful for collaborations with both Nigerian and international artists, similar to his previous album, which included contributions from Asake, Rema, Chris Brown, and Shenseea.
