It was a night of massive win for Living in Bondage at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, AMVCA as the movie went home with seven awards from 11 nominations.
The movie scooped up awards in the Best Cinematography, Best Writer/ Movie and TV Series, Best Soundtrack in a Movie, Best Movie in West Africa, Best Director categories including Best Overall movie and also scooped up a prize of N1 Million naira from Clorets.
Toyin Aimahku and Timini Egbuson went home with the awards of Best Actress and Actor in a Drama Movie/TV Series for their roles in the blockbuster movie, Elevator Baby. One of the biggest snubs for the night was ‘King of Boys’ with no wins from numerous nominations.
In a new category for best-dressed male and female on the red carpet, the Best Dressed Male Award went to Mike Edwards while the Best Dressed Female Award went to Mercy Eke both of the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem edition.

The Trailblazer award went to Jide Kene known as Swankey JKA while it was a melancholic moment as Chibunna “Funny Bone” Stanley broke down in tears while paying tribute to his late mother after scooping up the awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Movie/TV Series for his role in the movie Smash
Peter Igho also went home with the Industry Merit Award Father and it was a case of father and son big night on the stage as his son Tosin Igho also went home with the award for Best Picture Editor for the movie Seven which he shared with Brian Dike.
AMVCA 7 also paid tribute to fallen heroes of the industry like Dayo Akinpelu, a.k.a Alabi Yellow, Kayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kasumu and the rest who have passed on to the great beyond. Below is the full list of winners.
