American singer-songwriter and musician, Lionel Richie was forced to end his concert in Minnesota early after falling ill during the performance.

The music legend was performing ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ at the Grand Casino Arena in St Paul when he reportedly became dizzy and had to sit down on stage. Videos shared online showed him continuing the song before taking a seat.IMG 2603

Afterwards, Richie moved to the piano to perform ‘Three Times a Lady’ but later took an unscheduled break. Shortly after, saxophonist Dino Soldo informed the audience that the singer was unwell and could not continue the show.

The concert marked the opening night of Richie’s latest tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. The tour includes 26 scheduled performances across several US cities through mid-August. No official update on his condition had been released at the time of reporting.
