CEO of IrokoTV, Jason Njoku, has been discharged from the hospital and continues to recover from COVID-19 at home.
Njoku revealed his health status via his Twitter page and also shared a picture of himself sitting in a wheelchair.
He described the virus as “vicious and relentless”, adding that he could barely walk after contracting it.
“24th October and 7th November. Finally leaving the hospital. Can barely walk more than 10 metres a time but I’m now resting at home. COVID-19 is vicious, relentless and made me the most unwell I have ever been in my life. A long recovery ahead. But we thank God,” he wrote.
Last month, Njoku announced that he and his wife tested positive for Covid-19. He thereafter shared a picture of himself placed on oxygen support to aid his breathing.
He launched iRokoTV, an online Video-on-Demand platform for Nollywood films, in December 2011.
