Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Rebecca Hampson, popularly known as Nengi has been appointed senior special assistant to the Bayelsa state governor, Douye Diri.
Fellow housemate, Neo Akpofure, broke the news on Twitter congratulating Nengi on her appointment. She replied and retweeted, confirming the news.
According to his tweet, she was also named ‘Face of Bayelsa State’.
“Omo my girl o…. Senior Special Assistant to the Governor and Face of Bayelsa State. Congrats my sister @nengiofficial,” he wrote.

The 22-year-old reality TV star who hails from Bayelsa State was hosted on Friday by government officials in the State.
Nengi, who emerged second runner-up at the show’s finale, also made her acting debut recently in Play Networks’ ‘Rattle Snake’ remake.
In a related development, another ‘Lockdown’ housemate and indigene of Bayelsa, Trikytee was also extended the same gesture.
He disclosed the news on his Instagram page while thanking the Governor.
“I want to thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri on my appointment as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Bayelsa State.
“What an Honour, I am grateful,” he wrote.
