Following its successful premiere last week at Genesis Cinemas, Lekki, ‘Three Thieves’, an action-comedy and the second feature film of production, marketing and distribution company, Trino Motion Pictures, will open in cinemas on Friday, October 4.
It was an evening filled with fun and happiness at the premiere as the cast and guests turned out in large numbers. Veteran actress, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Frank Donga, Charles Okocha, Enado Odigie, Shawn Faqua, Koye kekere-Ekun, Omotunde Adebowale, Ayoola Ayolola, Lasisi Elenu, Damilola Ogunsi and several others were among those at the event.
The guests interpreted the premiere’s theme, ‘Naija Street Hustle’ well as they wore outfits ranging from ragged jeans and dungarees with sneakers to Ankara and complete agbada. The venue had an exciting backdrop reflecting an abandoned building, and it was no surprise that it became the photo station for everyone.
Written by Sammy Egbemawei, Abba Makama and Africa Ukoh, with Udoka Oyeka as director and Uche Okocha the producer, ‘Three Thieves’ is a rib-cracker sprinkled through with lessons for the old and young. It tells the story of three frustrated young men who consider theft, especially as no one would be harmed during an operation that would fetch them millions of naira.
The movie’s several twists and turns, however, deliver a clear message: crime is never an option.
