Abuja International Film Festival Announces Nominees For 18th Edition

Organisers of the Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF) have announced the nominees for the 18th edition of the festival awards scheduled to hold on November 4, 2021 in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The Festival’s Communications Officer, Fidelia Duker, said the festival was excited to be back as a physical event after the 2020 edition that was mostly virtual- hybrid in its entirety.

According to her, the November 1 – 4, 2021 edition will be Physical with all COVID-19 protocols observed while some parts of the festival will also be virtual.

A total of 1,952 films were received from 61 countries as entries for the festival and of these numbers, 113 films were selected from the following genre of Features, Shorts, Documentaries, Experimental, and animations.

However, the festival jury has chosen a total of 31 films and filmmakers as nominees who will be gunning for the different categories of the festival awards.
