Budding artists are being invited to submit work for an exhibition in Hull.
The Young Artist Open exhibition, previously known as the Junior Open, is held annually at Ferens Art Gallery and displays between 300 and 700 artworks.
Councillor Jackie Dad said artists who submit work “send a wonderful message about the power of creativity and self-expression”.
Anyone aged 15 and under can enter the free competition until 28 June. Chosen artwork will be displayed between 16 October and 10 January.
The exhibition, which has been running since 2003, showcases a variety of work including paintings, drawings, pastels, collages and prints.
All artworks entered have a chance to win a prize in their age category: six and under, seven to 11, and 12 to 15.
Prizes have been donated by the Friends of the Ferens and the Hull and East Riding branch of The Art Society.
Madeline Brace, exhibitions assistant at Ferens Art Gallery, said: “We are very excited to welcome another cohort of artworks to the gallery and continue to celebrate the achievements of our young artists.
“Every year, young artists and their families tell us how proud the exhibition makes them feel and how it motivates them to continue creating.”
Entry forms are available from the gallery and on its website.
