Anthony Ricco, a high profile attorney representing embattled American singer, Sean Diddy, has stepped down ahead of his sex trafficking trial.

Recall that the Diddy who is currently facing over 30 civil lawsuits, is awaiting a federal criminal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering scheduled for May 5 2025.

Anthony, who announced his withdrawal in the motion filed before the New York Federal Court on Thursday, declined to give reasons as to why he was leaving the rapper’s legal team.

According to the legal document, he notified the judge of his decision to withdraw from Daddy’s legal team, stating that “there are sufficient reasons protected by lawyer/client privilege”.

Ricco in the relief motion which has to be approved by the judge, said, “Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.”

Anthony Ricco is known for his role in the bin Laden case.
