Award-winning Nigerian-American author, Nnedi Okoroafor’s acclaimed book, ‘Binti’ is being adapted into a TV series and is set to premiere on Hulu.
The author who took to Twitter to share the news wrote: “Finally, I can be public about it! We are adapting Binti into a TV series at @hulu. I’m co-writing the pilot with @Stacyamma (HBO’s Watchmen) #Africanfuturism #Binti”.
Okoroafor will co-write the script alongside Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who had previously written for ‘Watchman’ and ‘The Morning Show’, among others.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the three-part science fiction novella will be adapted for screen under the studio Media Res.

‘Binti’ has, since it publication, won both a Hugo and Nebula award for Best Novella, which are awarded to outstanding sci-fi books.
