Laffmattazz Returns With Hybrid Easter Show

Ace stand-up comedian and show compere, Gbenga Adeyinka, has announced the return of the 10th edition of his annual Laffmattazz show.

The show, which was postponed last year due to the outbreak of COVID-19, is scheduled to hold on Easter Sunday as is the tradition at Jogor Center, Ibadan with all safety protocols to be duly observed.

“Laffmattaz would have been 11 years, but COVID-19 prevented it from holding last year, so this is the 10th edition of the Laffmattazz concert, though Laffmattazz itself is over 30 years,” Adeyinka said.

The comedian added that this year’s edition will be “part virtual and part physical”, adding that a plot of land would be gifted to a lucky person who buys a ticket irrespective of the category of the ticket, courtesy of Revolution Plus.

Expected to perform at the event are Helen Paul, Omobaba, Woli Arole, Dr Smile, Larry Jay, Baba Alariya, Peteru, Yemi Elesho, Paulgoodguy and Remote.
Other performers lined up include Ark-bishop, Dr. Whiteberry, MC Olympia, Shete, Eteye, Taichi, Ay Jokes, Nepa Boys and MC Wo.

This year’s event will also feature special Nollywood appearances from screen stars like Yomi Fash Lanso, Ibrahim Chatta and Tayo Amokade (Ijebu) as well as musical performances from Vector, Qdot, Mike Abdul, Azadus, Barryjhay, Beejhay Sax, Agaga, Fabulous Pizzy and Baptisa.
