Abuja International Film Festival Calls For Entries

The Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF) has called for submissions for the 18th edition of the film festival slated for November 1 to 5, 2021 in Abuja.

Established in 2004 with a view to filling the gap in the Nigerian film festival circuit, AIFF aims to develop, present and explore the cultural identity of the Nigerian film industry as well as provide a platform to young filmmakers who want are looking for platforms to express their creative expertise.

“The number of entries in features, shots, documentaries, animations and experimental category is gradually increasing, in 2020 amidst the COVID19 pandemic, the film festival had 1062 films with over 100 selected by the pre-jury of which 70 can make it to the competition.

“Beside the competition and info campaign AIFF features a host of festival screenings, selections from film Schools, film markets, film-, and all-art workshops in the program,” a statement made available to TCN by AIFF’s organisers partly reads.

The deadline for entries is 20th August 2021.
