I’ll Return To America, Tell Them Nigeria Is A Place To Go — Streamer Kai Cenat

American streamer and YouTube star Kai Cenat has described Nigeria as a destination worth promoting globally, saying he would return to the United States and encourage people to visit the country following his current trip to Lagos.

Speaking during his visit to the state on Wednesday, Cenat reflected on his return to Nigeria, noting that the experience has been deeply meaningful to him.

“It means everything, I’m not going to lie. I came here two years ago and I completely enjoyed it. Everybody showed me love in Nigeria. Like, I’ll go back to America and I’ll tell [them] Nigeria is a place to go.

“A lot of you guys showed me a lot of love when I first was here. And to experience it now again on a more personal level, it feels good,” he said.

The popular streamer also spoke about his ongoing efforts to support children during his visits to the country, explaining that while the process has not always been straightforward, he remains committed to making a difference.

“I’m excited for it. Doing things with them has been a little bit complicated in certain areas. But I’m also learning just as I keep going faster. You know, like just being able to bring it to life.

“Because a lot of natural disasters happen and a lot of things just happen. So, I had to adapt to it. But I’m doing better now. When I’m here, a lot more stuff gets rolling,” he said.

Asked about his plans during the rest of his stay, Cenat said he was focused on understanding Lagos better and connecting more closely with people.

“I don’t know yet. I’m so mad because I missed December [in Lagos]. I’m so mad because I missed December. But I just want to be able to understand Lagos a little bit more. And then just keep exploring it and just keep interacting on a personal level with everybody. So, that’s what I’ve been able to do the whole day,” he stated.

Addressing recent reports about stepping back from streaming to pursue other interests, Cenat explained that he is currently focused on personal growth and new goals.

“I’ve just been able to pursue other dreams and the tasks I have. Taking that time and learning the path is very important. So, that’s all I’ve been doing, you know, behind the scenes and to myself,” he said.

Cenat also noted that a significant number of his followers are Nigerians, further highlighting his strong connection to the country.

The American content creator is in Lagos for his second major visit to Nigeria.

During the trip, he was hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday, at the Lagos House in Marina.

He is also overseeing a large-scale school project for children in the Makoko community.

While in the state, Cenat has been seen interacting with children in Makoko and received five Eyo figurines from the governor, symbolising the founding families of Lagos.

Kai Cenat is currently the most-followed Twitch streamer in the world, with over 20 million followers across the platform.
