Gospel singer, Funke Glorious, has called out her colleague, Yinka Alaseyori, over an alleged song theft in a trending video.
Funke, who was visibly angry, lashed out at Alaseyori claiming it was not the first time the latter was involved in copyright infringement.
In the video, Funke accused Yinka of copying her song ‘Jesu Ti Nazareti’ in a video posted on Temilolasobola’s Instagram page.
She said Alaseyori, who shot into prominence a couple of years ago as a result of the controversy involving Tope Alabi over ‘Oniduro Mi’ song, has a habit of copying her colleagues’ songs but pretending to be innocent.
“Anybody who knows her should warn her. When you do something bad, you wouldn’t talk about it, you would keep quiet. What rubbish is that in this industry? You did it the first, second, and now the third time. Did they swear for you?” she said.
However, while Alaseyori is yet to respond to the allegation, Funke Glorious has released another trending video where she apologised for her use of profane language in her initial video to accuse Alaseyori. She blamed her harsh word on “anger” although she did not retract the allegation.
Recall that a gospel singer, Toluwalase Adelegan, is credited as the original composer and singer of Oniduro Mi, while Alaseyori popularised the song, allegedly without giving credit to her older colleague.
