Nigeria’s most prominent music awards show, the Headies, announced the highly anticipated nominations list for its 17th edition on Wednesday.
A wide variety of local and international musicians who have received recognition for their contributions to the music industry during the past 12 months are included in the list.
Notably, with five nominations overall, Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodu Blvck, received the most. Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, and Crown Uzama, also known as Shallipopi, each received three nominations.

With two songs, Odumodu Blvack competes for the Best Collaboration nomination alongside Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Asa, Zlatan, and Chike.
Despite being absent from the music industry since his passing on September 12, 2023, the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, also received three nominations.
Producer of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Best R&B Singles, Rookie of the Year, Best Rap Single, Best Vocal Performance (female), Music Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration are among the categories that were made public by the Headies’ official X handle.
