Exponential Growth In Saudi Tourism Sparks High Interest In Upcoming Hospitality Expo

The 13th edition of the Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC). Organized by dmg events, the Expo is witnessing high demand due to the exponential growth in Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector.

The Expo, a strictly B2B event, has attracted hundreds of exhibitors from 26 countries, including Türkiye, China, India, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. Prominent industry brands like RAK Porcelain, BAAL, Palatino, Technogym International, Sealy, Sleep High, Port Store, True International, Anatomy Fitness, and Egyptian Porcelain will participate.

Previously co-located with INDEX Saudi Arabia and the Lighting Design & Technology Expo, the Hotel & Hospitality Expo will now be a standalone event to cater to the increased demand and better to service the rapidly growing hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia.

According to Jasmeet Bakshi, Vice President, Design and Hospitality at dmg events, the event is set to be a significant milestone as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its hospitality landscape, working towards its Vision 2030 goals. The complete booking of all four halls at RICEC stands as a testament to the rapid growth and opportunities in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.

Saudi Arabia’s hospitality industry is experiencing a surge in new developments. By 2030, the Kingdom is expected to welcome 320,000 new hotel rooms to accommodate 150 million annual tourists, contributing to the Vision 2030 goal of having tourism contribute 10% of GDP. About 67% of these new rooms will be in upscale or luxury 4- and 5-star properties.

The expo has also garnered the official support of the Restaurant and Café Owners Association, a network of over 3,500 restaurateurs and investors. Ahmed Alkashakri, CEO of the Association, stated that the event offers excellent opportunities to explore innovative solutions for the industry and showcases the immense potential of Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and tourism transformation.

Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector is poised for strong growth, driven by major projects and global events like the 2027 Asian Cup, the FIFA World Cup 2034, and World Expo 2030. The launch of Riyadh Air in 2025 is also expected to boost the sector’s growth further.

The Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia envisaged as the gateway to Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector, is expected to attract 8,000 industry professionals to network and explore the latest innovations and trends. Attendees will also gain insights into Saudi Arabia’s hospitality master plan through expert presentations and panel discussions from C-level executives at Diriyah Company, Marriot International, and Hilton.
