Comedian AY Set To Manage Orji Kalu’s 400-room Estate As Film Studio

Comedian Ayo Makun has announced that his production outfit is working on a partnership deal to start managing Camp Neya, a 400-room sprawling estate owned by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the first-ever film studio in Nigeria.

AY, as he is fondly known, took to his Instagram handle to announce the deal on Tuesday.

The estate, which comprises of several units of choice structures at Uzor Kalu’s hometown of Igbere Bende LGA in Abia State, will now be run by AY’s Corporate World Entertainment as a tourism destination and for movie production centre of international standard.

Camp Neya, built in 1998 and named after Uzor Kalu’s only daughter, has in it over 36 jumbo size sitting rooms, 12-room presidential lodge, governors’ lodge for all the 36 states and FCT, a 5000 capacity conference hall, a banquet hall, a Karaoke hall, 22 kitchens, 102 toilets, 76 Bathrooms, 187 bedrooms and a golf course, among other facilities.

The Ondo-State born comedian’s company is known for producing commercially successful box-office movies including ‘30 Days In Atlanta‘, ’10 Days In Sun City’, ‘Accidental Spy’, ‘A Trip To Jamaica and ‘Merry Men’.
