Burna Boy wins big at Soundcity MVP Awards

Burna Boy has no doubt had a tremendous 2019. Since the release of his ‘African Giant’ album, he has been “Killin Dem” and getting accolades for doing so.

The singer carted away the ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Best Male MVP’ and ‘African Artiste of the Year’ awards at the just concluded Soundcity MVP Awards.

Hosted by South Africa’s Bonang Matheba, the show also had performances from Africa’s finest artistes including Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Joeboy, and Rema, among others.

Best Female MVP – Teni (Nigeria)

Best Male MVP – Burna Boy (Nigeria)

African DJ of the Year – DJ Spinall (Nigeria)

Digital Artiste of the Year – Davido (Nigeria)

Listeners’ Choice – Jealous – Fireboy DML (Nigeria)

Viewers’ Choice – Soapy – Naira Marley (Nigeria)

Video of the Year – 49-99 Tiwa Savage by Meji Alabi (Nigeria)

Song of the Year – Killin Dem – Burna Boy (Nigeria)

African Artiste of the Year – Burna Boy
