Organisers of the annual Felabration have announced 2Baba and Wizkid as some of the music stars slated to perform at the 2020 edition which will hold from October 15 to 17.
Tagged, ‘Fight To Finish, Fight To Win’, the event celebrates the life and times of late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Other artistes lined-up for this year’s Felabration which will be held virtually are Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Falana Music, Bez, Niniola, Joeboy, Antibalas and WurlD.
The event will be streamed on Instagram, Zoom, Facebook and YouTube.
It is scheduled to commence with a symposium to discuss topical issues affecting Africa.
Personalities expected to speak at the symposium include Arikana Chihombori, the former permanent representative to the African Union mission in Washington DC; Kweku Mandela and Dele Farotimi, lawyer and author.
Ugandan media personality, Vincent Magombe, will host the opening event, themed: ‘Colomentality’.
This year’s edition will also feature the ‘Dress like Fela Challenge’ which usually involves participants dressed up like Fela Kuti with the winner expected to win a prize money of ₦50,000.
