Wizkid Openly Declares Love For Burna Boy, Davido At Afronation 2022

Grammy-winning Afrobeats singer, Wizkid, has declared that he has no issues with anybody and he loves all his contemporaries including Davido and Burna Boy.

“I got love for Burna Boy. I got love for Davido” Wizkid declared to thousands of fans who showed up at the festival to watch Afrobeats’ concert in Portugal.

He stated this mid-performance at the Afronation mudic Festival currently holding in Portugal, where he was one of the headlining acts.

Rivalry between artistes is not new to the Nigerian music industry.

Recall that Wizkid, in 2017, had brought Davido out on stage to the surprise of his fans at an homecoming concert, where they both performed the latter’s hit song FIA.
Before the gesture, the superstars had been engaged in a cold war, with their rivalry dividing fans who spent all year fighting on social media comment sections.

Similarly, there has been tension between Davido and Burna Boy, which has resulted in a feud between the two. The artistes had at a time reportedly clashed and exchanged blows in a Ghanaian club.

There have been suggestions that David’s song, ‘FEM’ and Burna Boy’s ‘Way Too Big’ are Diss tracks aimed at each other.

However, Wizkid’s recent open declaration may go a long way in curbing the online toxicity displayed by their radical fans in the name of taking sides.
