Indian businesswoman turned filmmaker, Hamisha Daryan Ahuja, has hinted at the release date of her upcoming directorial debut, ‘Namaste Wahala’.

She released the first poster of the romantic comedy on Tuesday on her Instagram handle, showing a young couple in elaborate wedding regalia.

She wrote on Instagram: “Presenting Namaste Wahala. A story with a lot of laughter and a few tears about love and family. This project is very close to my heart as it’s my first movie and it’s also the first movie ever that brings together Nollywood and Bollywood. I am grateful to all the extraordinary cast and crew that helped me make the project a reality. Releasing April 24, 2020!!!”

The film stars Nigerian actor Ini Dima-Okoji and India’s Ruslaan Mumtaz in the lead roles. Dima-Okoji also took to Instagram to excitedly share the news, writing “Namaste Wahala is a love story that cuts across the cultures of two countries: India & Nigeria. The movie touches various genres: romance, comedy, drama, and is directed by @hamishadaryaniahuja. It was such a pleasure working with these amazing, fun professional cast.”

The romcom also stars veteran actors Joke Silva and Richard Mofe Damijo, alongside Instagram sensation, Broda Shaggi and Rapper, MI.

‘Namaste Wahala’ is due for release at the cinemas on April 24, 2020.
