Winners have emerged in the Schweppes #TakeYourSchhot, photography challenge for consumers and budding photographers.

Participants were encouraged to take creative images of the newly designed Schweppes cans during the competition that ran from October 24 to November 18. They subsequently shared their pictures on Instagram using the hashtag #TakeYourSchhot.

More than 700 entries were submitted showing the beautiful cans with captivating city scenery.

Veteran photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, reviewed all 700 entries and chose a long list of 10 images. Schweppes later put Amadi-Obi’s longlist online with the three most liked emerging as winners.

Chukwuma Okoye took the first position, Uzor Ugoala came second while Adetayo Adegoke emerged third. They were rewarded with N500,000, N300,000 and N100,000, respectively.

“The visual market is becoming increasingly difficult for budding artists to break into,” noted Amadi-Obi while commending the initiative.

He added that “more brands need to lend their support to these talented creatives at various capacities. The Schweppes #TakeYourSchhot challenge is a commendable effort from Schweppes to encourage a new generation of photographers to hone their skills.”
