Why Nollywood Needs Loans From FG — Actress Ego Nwosu

Nollywood actress Ego Nwosu has stated why the federal government should support the film industry with loans.

Speaking in a recent chat with Potpourri, the Edo State-born movie star stated that Nollywood has no bad stories but suffers from a lack of funding to churn out better and great films.

According to her, financial support from the government will ease the stress of funding on those in the movie industry.

“There are lots of ways the government can be beneficial to the movie industry. One of them is creating grants and loan opportunities, this will enable producers to be able to fund their movie projects.

“The truth is, there is no bad story, the only problem is the lack of funding to implement or even put in place the necessary things to be done.

“If the government can make loan facilities available, this will facilitate production and ease the stress of finding funds for many of us,” Nwosu stated.
