What a difference a year makes, Odugbemi relishes TALENT FACTORY success

Star filmmaker and tutor, Femi Odugbemi, was a happy Man last month. He announced a beautiful line-up for iRep International Documentary Festival; concluded a new television series that will open this month and pens beautiful words of exaltation upon graduation of the first set of Multichoice Talent Factory  participants
“This time 12 months ago, I was receiving the inaugural class of the Multichoice Talent Factory (West Africa) as the Academy Director in Lagos. 20 passionate, intelligent, Uber-creative young men and women from all over Nigeria and Ghana began a journey of self-discovery. We offered them new thinking in the techniques and technology of filmmaking. We debated fresh ideas in storytelling approaches. We watched lots and lots of films from every part of the world. We taught classes in finance, ethics, psychology and philosophy. We interned on film sets, TV drama, Talk Shows, outside broadcasts and original productions of Africa Magic. We made short films, documentaries, music videos and two full length feature films (whichbhavd since been shown on DStv). Our students learned to make films by making films. Today they graduate, ready to create a new culture commitment to best practices in storytelling. I am so excited and humbled by their potential and what the future promises. I am deeply grateful to God for His blessings on this project. I am thankful to the leadership of Multichoice NIGERIA for the vision and to all our enablers, mentors and facilitators for their sacrifice. Today we celebrate these champions – the MTF Class of 2018.”
