Fashion celebrity Veekee James, sports journalist Pooja, and food critic Opeyemi Famakin were among the winners at the 2025 Trendupp Awards.
The annual award ceremony, themed ‘Still Explosive’, recognised outstanding influencers, content creators, and brands dominating social media across various platforms.
Held at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, the event celebrated 104 nominees across 17 categories, with winners selected by a distinguished panel of judges including Iyabo Ojo, Sam Onyemelukwe, Kelechi Amadi Obi, and Ameyaw Deborah.
Pooja, a first-time nominee, clinched the ‘Force of X (Twitter)’ award, Peller and Jadrolita took home the ‘Force of Virality’ prize, while Famakin won the ‘Force of Food Content’ category.
Lifestyle content creator Liquorose won the ‘Force of Lifestyle Content’, while Veekee was crowned ‘Force of Influence (Nigeria)’ for her exceptional impact between March 2024 and March 2025.
The ceremony was electrified by a live performance from Nigerian singer Reekado Banks, who delivered hit tracks like ‘Easy Jeje’ and ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’.
