The UK Metropolitan Police Service has issued a final written warning to a former Big Brother Naija housemate, Khafi Kareem, over her appearance on the reality TV show in 2019.
A panel ruled that Khafi, a Police Constable at the UK Met Police, be given the warning after gross misconduct was proven.
She spent 77 days on the show before she was evicted.
According to the BBC, Khafi had admitted during the hearing that she took and surrendered her laptop to organisers of the reality TV show.
She was said to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to “orders and instructions” and “discreditable conduct”.
The former reality TV star’s bosses also accused her of appearing on the programme “without authority”, adding that it was not in her best interests or the force’s.
At the hearing which held during the week, she denied allegations of breaching standards in respect of “orders and instructions” and “discreditable conduct”.
She also refuted a claim that she failed to declare a business interest in relation to publicity and promotion of the TV show.
Khafi who is now married with a son to fellow housemate, Gedoni Ekpata, has over 1.4m followers on Instagram.
