Teary Princess Accuses Colleagues Of Snubbing Her Show

Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, broke down in tears as she called out fellow comedians who, according to her, have failed to support her forthcoming show.

The comedienne is set to host a show tagged ‘#nothingbutthetruth’ at Muson Centre, Lagos on the 14th of November.

Feeling abandoned and desperate, Princess went live on her Instagram handle on Tuesday to bemoan how some comedians and musical artistes have failed to publicise the show on her behalf.

The show is expected to feature musical performances by Vector and Jaywon, whom she claimed did not promote the show on their social media handles.

She also mentioned comedians like Julius Agwu, Buchi, Gbenga Adeyinka, Alibaba, amongst others, stating that they failed to promote her show after some even promised her support.

Before the live feed ended, the comedienne added that she missed the late artiste, Olanrewaju Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan, who died of cancer in July.

“In times like these, I miss Sultan. I am stressed”, Princess said admist tears.

Recall that Princess has been embroiled in a legal tussle with Nollywood actor James Olanrewaju, also known as Baba Ijesha, over alleged sexual assault of her foster daughter.

But for the rape allegation scandal, Baba Ijesha, who used to be a very close ally of Princess, would have been at the forefront of promoting the stand-up comedy show by the University of Lagos-trained Princess.
However, it is not clear whether the apathy towards her show by colleagues is as a result of others trying to stay neutral in the court case involving Princess and Baba Ijesa, giving the “pregnant” hashing for the show – #NothingButTheTruth.
