Screen Nigeria Aims To Foster Global Collaborations, Says NFVCB Chief Husseini

The Executive Director of the National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB, Dr. Shaibu Husseini is happy about a new venture, Screen Nigeria.

The new venture is the brainchild and a collaboration between the NFVCB and the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy.

In a recent development, Dr Husseini revealed that the new venture is aimed at fostering global collaboration and highlighting Nigerian talents.

In his words, “Nigeria is making a bold return to the Cannes Film Festival with the launch of Screen Nigeria, a platform dedicated to showcasing the country’s rich and dynamic audiovisual industry.”

Continuing, Dr Husseini said, “Under the Nigeria Everywhere brand, this initiative will highlight Nigerian talent, foster international collaborations, and position the country as a key player in the global creative economy. With a strong presence at major film festivals and a commitment to industry growth, Screen Nigeria is set to open new doors for Nigerian filmmakers, animators, and content creators. The future of Nigeria’s film industry is global, and the journey starts now.”
