Nollywood actress and TV host, Osas Ighodaro, has earned a lead role in a new micro-drama series titled ‘Imported Bahu’.

The Nolly-Bollywood comedy-drama series was announced on Monday on Instagram by the executive producer, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja.

‎According to her, the project pairs Ighodaro with Bollywood actor and model Rajniesh Duggall in a story that explores love, family secrets, and a unique cross-cultural romance.

‎She added that the series is set to premiere on 2 July 2026, exclusively on LebaraPlay, Africa’s first telecoms-owned micro-drama platform.

‎Sharing the news, Ahuja wrote: “For months, we’ve been keeping a secret. Today, we’re finally sharing it. Introducing Imported Bahu — @forever7entertainment’s first vertical microdrama series. A story of love, family, secrets, and one Imported Bahu who turns everything upside down.

Created by: @hamishadaryaniahuja. Starring: @officialosas and @rajnieshduggall. Trailer out now! Premiering July 2nd on Lebara Play, Africa’s first telecoms-owned microdrama platform. And one question…Do you know what a vertical drama is?”

‎Ahuja, who also produced Namaste Wahala and Postcards, is widely known for bridging Nollywood and Bollywood.
