Only Few Afrobeats Artists Are Making Money, Says Paulo Okoye

Talent manager, Paulo Okoye, has shared his candid thoughts on the current state of Afrobeats music

According to Okoye, Afrobeats is facing significant challenges, with most artists experiencing a decline in success compared to three years ago.

He stated that only a handful of artists are currently making money from the genre.

Okoye’s observations highlight the struggles Afrobeats artists are facing globally, with the situation being even more dire locally.

He emphasized that the financial struggles are widespread, with “no money anywhere.”

Despite these challenges, Okoye remains optimistic about the future of Afrobeats. He believes that the genre’s brightest stars will continue to shine and gain international recognition, showcasing the greatness of African music.
