Omoni Oboli Removes Movie From YouTube Amidst Plagiarism Allegations

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli has addressed allegations that her recently released movie, ‘A Different Type of Love’, is a duplicate of another movie on YouTube.

The actress, after receiving feedback from her viewers about the similarities between the two movies had removed ‘A Different Type of Love’ from her YouTube channel.

Speaking via Instagram, the thespian assured her fans that she is committed to originality in her works.

She explained that she hired a scriptwriter for the project and is currently investigating what went wrong.

Oboli thanked her fans for their understanding and continued support, adding that she is working with her legal team to resolve the situation.

She wrote, “Dear besties, We know you’re probably wondering why the latest movie isn’t available anymore on the channel. We’ve received feedback that it bears a striking resemblance to another film on YouTube.

“As a channel committed to originality, we’ve decided to remove the movie while we investigate the situation. We’ve engaged the scriptwriter to understand exactly what happened and are working closely with our legal team to resolve this. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Always remember that I love you.”
