Traditional drummers, chanters, trumpeters, and praise singers have relocated to the family compound and residence of the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

This is coming a few hours after the group, known as Gbobaniyi Olubadan, signed out from the residence of the immediate past Olubadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

Olakulehin, who hailed from Ita Baale area in Ibadan North East Local Government Area, joined his ancestors on Monday, 7th July this year.

It was learnt that the Gbobaniyi Olubadan of Ibadanland is made up of entertainers who entertain the Olubadan on a daily basis.

The group also entertains visitors to the Olubadan palace.

The group on Tuesday relocated to the family compound and the residence of the former governor.

The family compound of the former governor, who is also the Olubadan-designate, is located at Isale Osi in Ibadan South West Local Government Area, while his residence is located at Ondo Street in Bodija area of Ibadan in Ibadan North Local Government Area.

The group members were seen at the two locations on Tuesday entertaining the family members, well-wishers, and guests who came to felicitate with the Olubadan-designate.

Our correspondent reports that the group is expected to remain with the Olubadan-designate throughout his reign.
