NEMCEA 2026: Industry Giants Set To Empower Nigeria’s Creative Economy At 5th Edition In Lagos

The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) has officially announced the fifth edition of the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA 2026). NEMCEA, Nigeria foremost International Media event is a three in one activation with focus on Conference, Content Exhibition and Industry Awards Nite.

Scheduled to take place on September 2nd and 3rd at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, this milestone edition will tackle the financial sustainability of the creative sector under the central theme, “The Creator’s Economy – Elevate Your Craft, Secure Your Future.”

As the digital landscape evolves, the need to bridge the gap between creative passion and commercial viability has become paramount. This year’s theme is specifically designed to equip content creators, producers, and media executives with the tools required to monetize their craft effectively.

Expected to speak at different forum at NEMCEA 2026 including at the Director General’s Roundtable are (1) Mr. Charles Ebuebu, Director General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), (2) Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Director General, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), (3) Dr. Lanre Isaac Onilu, Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), (4) Comrade Salihu Abdullahi Dembos,

Highlighting the economic significance of the event, Mr. Adeniji Omirin, President of EMCOAN, stated, “The creative industry is no longer just a hobby; it is a critical driver of Nigeria’s GDP. At NEMCEA 2026, our focus is to shift the narrative from mere content creation to sustainable wealth creation. We want our creators to not only elevate their artistic output but to robustly secure their financial future in an unpredictable market.”

In a major boost to the event’s prestige, the Standard Insurance Consultants Ltd. has joined NEMCEA 2026 as a new Sponsoring Partner.
