NANTAP inaugurates national conference committee

Ahead of its national delegates convention and 30th anniversary, the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) inaugurated a 25-person National Planning Committee.

The convention and anniversary will happen in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, from September 16 to 18. 

Association’s Deputy President, Sunday Umanah, heads the committee that has since begun work.

Speaking at its inauguration, NANTAP President, Israel Eboh charged the committee to deliver a successful convention. 

He said, “On behalf of the National Executive Council, I like to congratulate you on your selection into this committee. It’s a lot of work, but I do not doubt your capacity to deliver. Hence, I like to challenge every one of you to make yourself available in your respective roles to ensure a successful outing in Ekiti. Time is not on our hands.”

Other members of the National Planning Committee are Nifemi Richard-Bruce, Sam Uche Anyamele, Charles Ukpong, Esther Onwuka, Cecil Ozebeme, Linus Osemene and Makinde Adeniran. The body also comprises Titilayo Kaaku Head, Biodun Abe, Laide Nasir, Tuoyo Arueyingho, Jerry Adesewo, Eze Ekegwu, Yele Balogun, Toyin James, Efe Orhorha, Lara Akinsola, Omololu Abe, Yomi Longe, Husseini Shaibu, Ejiro Edenya, Okiemute Ezewu,  Emeke Egbune and Deji Etiwe.

The three-in-one event includes the delegate conference, inauguration of the body of fellows and 30th anniversary.

Theatre practitioners, government officials, creative entrepreneurs, and other cultural and creative industry players will attend.
