Laolu Akande, the former spokesperson of ex-vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that most radio stations in the United States (US) play Nigerian music on a daily basis.

Akande disclosed this on ‘Sunrise Daily’, a programme on broadcast station, Channels Television on Monday, stating that it is a remarkable achievement.

“There is virtually no radio station in the United States that don’t play Nigerian music everyday. It’s a big

deal. It’s one of the reasons why they respect us. Our music is everywhere. Every radio station in New York, they play the latest music releases from Nigeria, that’s a big deal,” he said.

The veteran journalist explained that it is a noteworthy accomplishment because it portrays Nigeria in a good light.
