Miss United Nations, Miss Universe Nigeria, Others To Grace Evolve Conference in Lagos

by The Culture Newspaper September 22, 2024
The convener of the Evolve X Conference has announced that beauty queens and other popular Nigerian celebrities will be gracing the conference next Friday in Lagos.

According to the convener, the beauty queens are 2014 Miss United Nations and Nollywood actress, Dr Precious Chikwendu; 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria and model, Chidimma Adetshina; and 2024 Miss Kwara, Ufa Dania.

Nigerian South African-based businessman and convener of the conference, Charles Awuzie, made this known in a statement on Friday while commending his team for the time and effort they expended into the preparation of the second edition of the annual conference.

Awuzie stated that Dr Precious Chikwendu will be the conference host, adding, “Dr Precious wears many crowns and, on the 27th of September, in Lagos, she will put on another crown as the host of the Evolve X Conference 2.0.”

The convener said Miss Universe Nigeria and Miss Kwara will grace the conference to share their stories. He noted that Chidimma Adetshina’s resilience will inspire the participants.

He stressed that Adetshina’s story will replace cross-border rivalry with cross-border business partnerships, adding, “We want to see more business partnerships among young people of Africa. And the Evolve Conference is offering the platform to have such conversation.”

Awuzie stated that the conference is a platform where dreams evolve into reality; and a forum to connect with key decision-makers, showcase innovations, expand horizons, build valuable relationships and drive sales and leads.

He said the conference will activate the participants’ next level through solid business networking and information sharing, and that the people who will speak at the event are successful leaders who have built strong organisations, brands and communities with great reputations.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the conference, Ossai Ilome, said that during the conference, global investors, tech pioneers, and business leaders will engage with their African counterparts to unlock new investment avenues.

Ilome further said the conference will feature speeches, panel discussions, mentorship, business pitches, entertainment by celebrities and musicians, product sales and exhibitions, among others.

According to him, the conference aims at unlocking access to the international market for a minimum of 200 small and medium-scale businesses; engineering digital transformation for a minimum of 50 medium and large-scale companies; and providing chief executives of small, medium, and large companies with support system to master the art of intentional living.
