The novel corona pandemic couldn’t stop the Miss Earth Nigeria Beauty Pageant for this year.

In spite of the constraints imposed by the pandemic and the fact that the pageant had to move online, a winner has emerged in person of Miss Gwenivere Chioma Ifeanyieze.

In a statement made available to TCN by Serendipity Media Limited under the direction of its National Director, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Gwenivere from Enugu emerged the new Miss Earth Nigeria on Saturday August 15, 2020.

The event held on a virtual platform “in what proved to be a challenging year due to the extant COVID 19 pandemic.”

According to Fiberesima, who is a former beauty queen and top actress, “We are proud and delighted to announce that among a pool of beautiful and intelligent ladies tagged Eco-Angels, Miss Gwenivere Chioma Ifeanyieze, a native of Enugu State emerged as the Miss Earth Nigeria 2020 and most crucially Gwenivere will have the privilege of representing Nigeria at the Miss Earth pageant.”

She said the Elemental Queens forming Miss Earth’s court this year include Olajumoke Becca Adetunji as Miss Earth Air; Chidiogo Mbanusi as Miss Earth Water; Tammy Andoya as Miss Earth Fire, and Catherine Beredugo as Miss Earth Eco-Tourism.

They also make up the runners-up at the keenly contested pageant which is the 19th edition this year.
