Latest Black Panther Teaser Hints At Identity Of Chadwick Boseman’s Replacement

Four years after shattering box office records, another trailer of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2018 film that starred late actor Chadwick Boseman, has been released.

As its November 11 release date draws near, plot details have largely been kept under wraps, with Marvel sharing a tantalizing first-look teaser back in July.

Following Boseman’s demise, Marvel Studios announced that it would not recast the role of T’Challa, adding that a new character would take up the Black Panther mantle.

While the trailer ends with the stunning look of a new Panther suit, it doesn’t reveal the identity of its wearer.

However, the new Panther appears to be a woman. Towards the end of the trailer, a female, presumably Shuri (T’Challa’s tech-savvy kid sister) was shown donning the Black Panther suit. Marvel’s new poster also spots white dots on the Black Panther mask which bear a striking resemblance to the facial paint worn by Shuri in the first-look teaser released two months ago.

The sequel’s trailer portrays T’Challa’s beloved homeland grappling with its grief, while also navigating new threats. It reintroduces several familiar faces, including Angela Bassett (Queen Ramonda), Lupita Nyong’o (“war dog” spy Nakia), Letitia Wright (Princess Shuri), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Danai Gurira (Okoye).
