8-Year-Old British-Cameroonian Author Sets Guinness World Record

Eight-year-old British child author of Cameroonian heritage, Jayce Joyce, has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male editor of a published anthology, adding another remarkable achievement to his growing list of literary milestones.

Jayce earned the record at just seven years and 290 days old after editing Our Stories Our World, an anthology featuring stories and poems written by 20 children aged between six and 10 from across the United Kingdom.

The Birmingham-based prodigy has been making waves in children’s literature since publishing his first book at the age of four, earning widespread recognition for his passion for reading and writing and for inspiring young storytellers.

His latest Guinness World Record further cements his reputation as one of the world’s most accomplished young authors.

Beyond his publishing success, Jayce was recently named an ambassador for the United Kingdom’s largest children’s literature festival, where he is expected to encourage more children to develop a love for books, creative writing and storytelling.

His achievements have drawn praise from educators, authors, and readers, many of whom describe him as an inspiration to young people around the world.

By editing an anthology created entirely by children, Jayce has also highlighted the importance of giving young voices a platform to tell their own stories and share their creativity.

As his literary journey continues, the young record holder is already proving that age is no barrier to making a lasting impact in the world of books.
