LASEPA Seals Hotels, Bars, Others In Alimosho

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) intensified its crackdown on environmental violations on  Thursday, sealing off multiple establishments in the Alimosho area for persistent noise pollution and breaches of environmental laws.

The enforcement operation, which spanned major parts of Alimosho—including Egbeda, Igando, Gowon Estate, and Shasha targeted a range of facilities such as hotels, religious centers, lounges, and even a bakery, all flagged for environmental infractions.

Among the affected establishments were; Hellious Lounge Bar, Hope of Glory International Redemption Church, Okla Royal Hotel & Masara Entertainment, Olorunisola Hotel, Aloma Hotel & Suites, Let’s Go There Hotel & Lounge, A Bakery, Demeg Hotel, De Emmy Hotel & Suites, Goodtime Palace, and Alhaja Fausatu Bankole Mosque.

Speaking during the operation, LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reiterated the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on environmental infractions, emphasizing that the move was necessary to restore sanity and protect public health in the affected communities.

“Noise pollution and related offences harm public health and disrupt community peace. Our actions today reinforced our commitment to safeguarding the environment and promoting a healthier Lagos that we can all be proud of,” Dr. Ajayi stated.

He further warned that the agency would not hesitate to wield its regulatory powers against any establishment found in violation of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Law of 2017.
