The usual hum of corporate engines along Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue and many other streets in Victoria Island Lagos will be replaced by a different kind of electricity in September 2026.
This is as lagosians, visitors, friends, and business owners anticipate a riveting parade of glitz and glamour during the inaugural edition of the Victoria Island Carnival.
Holding with the theme, “Eko’s Jewel: A Legacy Rich in Colour”, the carnival, a landmark cultural and tourism initiative packaged to celebrate the Island which remains the heartbeat of Lagos’ economic, lifestyle, entertainment, hospitality, and business hub, is scheduled for September 14-18, 2026.
The week kicks off at Muri Okunola Park from the 14th to the 18th of September, transforming the park into a bustling carnival village.
