Otedola’s daughter, Jean-Lewis, others to headline Afolayan’s The Citation

Ace Filmmaker and Director, Kunle Afolayan, has revealed the cast for his latest feature film, ‘Citation’.

The film written by Tunde Babalola, explores the prevalence of sexual harassment, especially of female students, in universities.

Afolayan while presenting the “Pan African” cast to the media at a press conference held at the Lagos Travel Inn, Ikeja, said that the film will be shot in three African countries.

In his words: “We are about to make the film ‘Citation’. Citation is going to be shot in three countries: Nigeria, Senegal and Cape Verde. And we are starting shoot tomorrow. So this is just a way to say come with us on the journey and look forward to see an amazing film from us.”

The producer-cum-director boasts of talented actors and crew members, some of whom be has worked with on his previous films.

“As you can see we have an amazing talent, amazing faces. Some of them you have never seen them on screen at a movie but you’ve seen them on screen doing other stuff. There are one or two people who are not here. We are going to unveil them later,” the Golden Effects boss added.

‘Citation’ features a stellar cast including Joke Silva, Sadiq Daba, Ini Edo, Gabriel Afolayan, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Adjetey Anang, among others.

‘Moremi’ a major role in the movie will be played by debutante, Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola.

The movie will be filmed in six weeks across the three countries with full logistical support provided by the Cape Verdian Ministry for Culture and Creative Industries.
