I’m Not In A Rush To Be On Rema, Asake’s Level Of Stardom -Afrobeats Singer, Victor

by The Culture Newspaper July 30, 2024

Afrobeats singer, Anthony Victor, popularly known as Victony, has said he isn’t in a rush to be on his colleagues, Rema and Asake’s level of stardom.

He stated this while reacting to the claims by some social media users that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ wasn’t “commercially successful” because he didn’t have “haters” to post negative comments that will make it trend on social media.

Reacting, Victony said the assumption was “dumb,” stressing that those pushing the narrative have high expectations for the album beyond his current status in the music industry.

On his X handle, Victony wrote: “Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dumbest shit I seen cos what’s the rush? Everyone wanna be Rema and Asake in 2 hours?”
