The singer made this known during an interview on the Off Air podcast with Gbemi and Toolz, the “Yolo Yolo” crooner.
She described it as a stage in her career that is now behind her.
“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. I was an Illuminati member,” she confessed during the show.
There has been rumours that some Nigerian celebrities belong to the Illuminati — a secret society often associated with wealth, fame, and dark power. It has been often described by some as the “Church of Satan.”Nigeria flight deals
While some artistes have denied such claims, Seyi Shay stands out as one of the few to openly admit to it. She, however, stressed that it was not a permanent lifestyle but a stage that eventually passed.
Sheyi also explained that while fans may not be aware of those in the group, people within the entertainment industry can usually identify who is connected.
“It’s not the fans, guys. It’s the people in the industry… the ones who work with me, work with her, work with that one,” she added.
