Organisers of the Fritz Awards have announced that its maiden edition is now open for entries.
Entries are open from June 1 to August 31, 2020 while notifications will be sent out on October 12.
Fritz Awards is a platform that recognises excellence in the motion and film industry locally, continentally and globally.
It seeks to be the foremost platform rewarding creativity, excellence, ingenuity and hard work in the film industry. It strives to tell stories that are diverse, experimental, compelling, and that matter.
The award is named in honour of Friedrich Christian Anton “Fritz” Lang, Austrian-German-American filmmaker, screenwriter and film producer, who is noted as the first filmmaker to feature a black person in his movie.
